SOLVED. YA Fantasy - Girl keeps journal after waking up with no memories. [s]

I haven’t stopped searching for this one for years!! It’s for the younger end of YA I believe. It’s written in first person as the journal of a girl who wakes up without memories. She’s somewhat alone in this vaguely dystopian world, I think there’s a cat that sticks near her. There is no male love interest as far as I remember which I think is an important distinction from a lot of these amnesia books!! She keeps trying to figure out what’s going on and then she finds a scrap of paper or some other folded up note from herself in the recent past, which makes her realize that this isn’t the first time she’s woken up without her memories, and this scares her. It is part of a series I believe. I read it somewhere between 2009-2012?

Interesting, I've read this book but didn't recognize it from your description. Funny what sticks in the mind. But then there's a lot to choose from.
