SOLVED. Children's Picture book written from perspective of animals at the nativity. [s]

A person is looking for a book that she read to her children in the early 2000s or very end of 1990s. It's about the animals at the nativity, and is written from their perspective but she says it is not "The animals speak" by Marion Dane Bauer because that is too recent. She doesn't have any more information than that. It was read to children so perhaps a picture book.

I heard back from the person with the question, and apparently the book was "Sheep tales: the Bible according to the animals who were there" by Ken Davis
