⭐⭐⭐⭐.5 for
The Golden Thread by Tea Cooper Compelling and intriguing Australian historical fiction. https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I finished A Spy for the Redeemer
by Candace Robb. This series is very good if you like Historical mysteries set in medieval times. This book takes place in 1370 York and Wales. Our two main characters Lucie and Owen are apart for most of it in separate so I don't think book worked as well. Start with book one of this series.
The Elias Network by Simon Gervais! Truth be told, I love a 'snow' mystery/thriller, so I've just started this & it's good!
Started out the week with a non-mystery book for a change
Once Upon a Wardrobe by Patti Callahan https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
My review of Dominoes, Danzón, and Death by Raquel V. Reyes

Good bones of a book, I even cried a little at times. I really believed in the closeness of the family, that even after tragedy, they leaned on each other instead of falling apart. However, after sitting with this book a couple days, I realized the main character is kind of...inconsequential to the story. He wasn't involved with...

Getting a jump on next week's new releases, and Christmas, with
You Feta Watch Out by Linda Reillyhttps://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
My review of Tales of Life and Daph by Phillipa Nefri Clark

⭐⭐⭐.8 for legal thriller
Beyond Reasonable Doubt by Robert Dugoni https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
My review of Murder in an English Castle by Merryn Allingham
https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Aussie author and former journo Chris Hammer writes complex mysteries with a broad range of characters. The Valley has gold mining, politicians, cops (straight and bent), hippie types, and a couple of favourite detectives. Another excellent read.
My review of The Valley
I finally pulled the Murderbot Diaries off of my TBR list -- starting with
All Systems Red by Martha Wells,I shouldn't have waited so long; these are great.
My Review - https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
⭐⭐⭐.5 for a Christmas themed cosy mystery
A Holiday Homicide by Ellie Alexander https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
SNAP Sandy:)My review of A Holiday Homicide by Ellie Alexander

I started out the week with
We Three Queens, the latest Royal Spyness Mystery from Rhys Bowen.https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I recently finished the final two novellas in Amazon's Busybodies Collection of six cosy mysteries and especially enjoyed the last one. One Lucky Subscriber by Kellye Garrett features an imaginative YouTube celebrity hosting a tricky hide-n-seek with big prize money in the the American Dream Mall.
My review of One Lucky Subscriber~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A Classic Case by Alicia Thompson is my favourite - a delightful rom-com mystery with a nice twist. Good finish to an uneven collection.
My review of A Classic Case
What's actually on my bedside table is a device with cloud access to many books--sort of my current "to-do" list. It's kind of like a TBR only books I plan to read sooner rather than later/never.
The one I have pulled up and should be reading is Laura Childs’ Gilt Trip from her Scrapbooking series. The problem is the access to other reads distracts me from the mystery I started in September. No matter... It'll get read. In the meantime I'm enjoying other reads (or, actually, sleep).
Finishing out the week with
Murder at Glenloch Hill by Clara McKenna https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
⭐⭐.5 for Scottish crime thriller
Deadfall: The enthralling Scottish crime thriller https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I kicked off the week with
Wedding Bride and Doom by Mary Karnes https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I'm a fan of Aussie crime/mystery author Michael Robotham. Professor Joe O'Loughlin is a London psychologist who works as a profiler with the police. There is some blood and gore (well, serial killers are notoriously messy, aren't they?) but it's never the focus, and there are other crimes. Watching You is #7 in the Joseph O'Loughlin series, but you could enjoy it as a standalone.
My review of Watching You
Dreaded Hour:by Captain George Hill of 'Go Spy the Land' fame. His exploits in Europe post the First War
I'm finishing out November with
Ashes Never Lie by Lee Goldberg https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Taking a break from mysteries with
Wrath and the Triple Goddess, the newest Percy Jackson title from Rick Riordan. https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I've made it back to the Braxton Campus Mysteries with
Flower Power Trip by James J. Cudney https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
