Phrynne, Thanks for your review of the 5th book of the series of books on The Chocolate cozy mystery. I will definitely read the series from the 1st book to see if I like these books. They sound interesting and fun! Great review!

I'm looking at one of next week's new releases early. I had a fantastic time with
A Very Woodsy Murder, the first in a new series by Ellen Byron.https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I finished a very good Historical Mystery, Death in a Blackout
by Jessica Ellicott. Book one of the series. I like her Beryl and Edwina series quite a bit. I like the story about women were trying to do help out the war effort in Britain in 1940. I want to read Book 2.
I'm closing out the week with the uneven thriller
One Wrong Word by Hank Phillippi Ryan https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
My review of There's No Murder Like Show Murder by M.S. Greene
https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I'm starting off this week with a look at
Dream Town by Lee Goldberg. Another fast moving and fun mystery from him. https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I'm celebrating Christmas in July with
The Case of the Ghost of Christmas Morning by PJ Fitzsimmons. It's a historical cozy mystery with plenty of laughs.https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I'm ending the week with another Christmas themed cozy
Sugarplum Dead by Carolyn Hart https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
The God of Small Things by Arundhati Roy. Best Indian book I have read, loss has seldom been rendered so beautifully. 5/5

I do enjoy Andy Weir and James Moriarty, Consulting Criminal is no exception. This is a collection of three tales written about, and in the style of, the Sherlock Holmes mysteries. A delightful change of pace for the talented Weir!
My review of James Moriarty, Consulting Criminal
Just finished Star LostThe Luccee Winterscott Series: Book 1
My Review

I'm kicking off August with a look at
Public Anchovy #1 by Mindy Quigley. This is the best in the series to date.https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
It takes only a page or two and I'm completely back in Harry's world. Michael Connelly's Lost Light is as engrossing as the the others in the Bosch series. Love 'em!
My review of Lost Light
Historical cozyI finished Murder at the Mortuary by Lee Strauss book 5 of the series. It is 1924 and Ginger is driving all over London. Fun series. I like the undertones of acceptability of women's roles changing. You have Ginger's Grandmother stuck in the Victorian/Edwardian ear and Ginger being a modern woman. I will continue with the series.
I enjoyed another fun novella by Sarah E. Burr - A Voyage of Vengeance
https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Australian crime fiction -
Return to Moondilla by Tony Parsons ⭐⭐⭐.8https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I enjoyed the historical mystery
The Key to Deceit by Ashley Weaver. https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Small Mercies by Dennis Lehane. One of modern crime fiction's greats return with his best book in years. 4/5
