Bonus books (not pre-planned)Inspired
Such a thoughtful, compassionate book. I feel less alone.
Ender's Shadow
Ben's pick for our family listen-together. I don't know why I haven't gotten to the Shadow series before now!
Crochet Every Way Stitch Dictionary
Amazing Japanese Crochet Stitches
The Pilgrim's Progress
I read this because I wanted to have context before reading C.S. Lewis's "Pilgrim's Regress". Even though I didn't love Bunyan's book, this was the right call—I'm picking up a lot more in Lewis's as a result.
Crocheted Wreaths for the Home
Macraweave: Macrame meets weaving
Melissa Leapman's Indispensable Stitch Collection for Crocheters
Fear the Sky
Daniel's pick for our family listen-together. The writing style is a bit amateurish, but all three of us were engaged in the story and didn't want to stop listening.
Arabella
After reading "A Fine Balance", I needed something light and lovely, and as always, Georgette Heyer delivered. ❤️
A Wizard's Guide to Defensive Baking
Good ol' Bob.
How to Keep House While Drowning
So kind and gentle.
Fortunately, the Milk
Ben's pick for our family listen-together. It's short so he slipped it in.
The Warrior's Apprentice
My pick for our family listen-together. Miles is delightful.
Daniel keeps telling me I should read the rest of The Expanse series, and I keep telling him I should get caught up on my official list before wandering off (as if I hadn't already wandered into 14 books not on my official list 🤫).In a fit of productivity-for-funsies, I added a progress updater to my glorious book-tracking spreadsheet. It only takes into account the books on the original list, and lets me know where I stand.

This is hilariously bad news considering that we're only 40 days into the year. 😂 I guess it's time to wander back.

I'm pulling books from three different categories:
• Non-fiction that has stood the test of time (at least ten years old and over four stars)
• Fiction with the same criteria
• Recent books (both fiction and non-fiction) from perspectives that are different from mine (think BIPOC, disabilities, LGBTQ2S+) with a 4-star or better average rating over a healthy number of reviews
This list is sorted by year published, but I will be reading in a more chaotic order. I'll also be adding "Bonus Books" as I work on series, can't resist, etc.
