    Team Dumbledore: Chat

Hi team! I plan on reading The Most Beautiful Girl in Cuba by Chanel Cleeton because one of Gryffindor’s main themes is bravery and the women in this book are very brave.

      I'm reading

 for brave characters,

for the red cover, and still working out if/how my other current reads fit.

Brittany wrote: "Does anyone have a good Hogwarts house guide we can post here for inspiration"I don’t have one however I am a huge fan of the series and I remember that Gryffindor is known for bravery.
Bobbi wrote: "https://fantasytopics.com/gryffindor-...This is the one I'm using."
Thanks so much for sharing this awesome guide, Bobbi!

Wow! Thank you. I googled it and a LOT came up including colors and the animal and who was in the house etc. should be easy to make almost anything fit! I’m embarrassed to say I have not read all of the Harry Potter books. Maybe I’ll try tackle them this year!

      Anytime, friends. That was the most comprehensive one I came across and the only one that had negative traits as well.Edit;
Here are the other houses for future reference

Note to self: add How You Ruined My Life - Jeff Strand 1/2/23 when we have a check in thread with stubborn and prideful MC for justification.

  Thanks for the reminder!
I plan on reading Legends & Lattes by Travis Baldree for the Slytherin challenge because of the black-haired green orc on the cover.

For easy use:What kind of a person is a Slytherin?
Slytherins are highly complex individuals that are intelligent, ambitious, resourceful, quick-witted, and cunning. While some poor Slytherins reputations do precede them, Slytherins can actually be the most relatable of the Houses at Hogwarts.
Good Slytherin Traits
Determined
Intelligent
Problem-solvers
Loyal
Confident
Bad Slytherin Traits
Prideful
Malicious
Rule breakers
Sneaky
Manipulative
I’m thinking of changing my book for Slytherin week to Kingdom of the Wicked by Kerri Maniscalco because there’s a snake on the cover and a snake is an animal that is associated with Slytherin and I think it will go faster because Legends and Lattes is taking me longer because there’s so much to savor.

Sorry I need to post my books still. I will catch up this weekend. I have read a lot but am behind on challenge updates

Sorry I’ve been mia… had a work retreat and then was super busy… ready to read and relax for the rest of January… lol, maybe the rest of the year… I wish!!

Hi everyone, I unfortunately will not be able to finish reading Kingdom of the Wicked today since it’s only an hour and 39 minutes until midnight where I live and then the Slytherin part of the challenge will be over. I’m really sorry guys :((

Jodi wrote: "I thought it ended on 14th which is tomorrow or today depending on your time?"Hi Jodi! It ended yesterday for me at midnight in my time zone. I’m from the Midwest of the United States.
I plan on continuing to read Legends & Lattes for Ravenclaw week and I hope to finish it in time :))

That’s my bad then because I’m MST lol. To be honest… this year has been pretty chaotic, I’m struggling even knowing what day it is smh!

I decided that I plan on reading another book for Ravenclaw and I am going to read The Personal Librarian by Marie Benedict and Victoria Christopher Murray and I have already read 27 pages.

It’s almost midnight in my time zone so I will not be able to finish it in time to count for Ravenclaw. However, The Personal Librarian will still work for Hufflepuff!
