Mark Benoit I’m a day behind! I will finish and update tomorrow!

Mark Benoit I didn’t enjoy this book as much as I did the first one and I said that about halfway though. It wasn’t a read that I could not put down like the first one. It took me a lot longer to get through and wasn’t as exciting. The ending made up for it though, I liked the twist and her finding herself as the queen and turning to blackmail if needed. Character development I think was better in this book it happened a little slower and not just a flip of a switch and I loved how every character was intertwined with the next and the full circles like Booth coming back and ending up helping out. I liked the plot but it took a long time for action to happen and I felt as if it was drug on when it could’ve been shorter. First off Bridget gave me major pick me girl vibes and annoyed me at times but that’s just how I feel when I read books like this. I’m so quick to assume I’d do different when I’m not in the situation. I feel like there was a lot of similarities to the first book as well.
-Alex and Rhys the possessive never loved boyfriends turned romantics
-Bridget and Ava falling for them and trying to save them
-The leaving and rekindling between the two couples in a dramatic fashion
I did however like that the fact that the culprit in exposing Bridget and Rhys wasn’t predictable and there was multiple possibilities that it could’ve been instead of it just being Andreas and that was the end of the story. The fact that never wanted the crown but it was portrayed that well to keep everyone on their toes was brilliant. Both stories got their happily ever after so far so that was another plus as well, I feel like the next two books might not end this way.

If you’d like to read the next two books for February buddy reads I’d be down! If not, and you want to read them on your own or someone else I understand too!! I’m actually really excited for Josh and Jules story.

I totally get what you mean about the tropes being the same as in Twisted Love, just with new characters and in a new setting. I did however prefer Twisted Games over Twisted Love. I partiularly enjoyed the character development as I felt like it was more realistic and not just a flip of a swith like it was with Ava and Alex. I loved how Bridget stood up for herself as well as her and Rhys's relationship when she turned to blackmail. I know that Nikolai abdicated but I did kind of hope that after everything he would go bac and end up being the king so that Bridget and Rhys woukd have a little more freedom. I liked that Andreas ended up having an amicable relationship with both Bridget and Rhys, it would've been boring and predictable if he had been the one threatening to expose Rhys and Bridget, so I agree with you on that part. I do now like that Rhys has more family.

I think that I'm going to give this book 4 stars.

I would like to read Twisted Hate and Twisted lies so I'll put them in the buddy read nominations chat so that the threads can be made :)

Mark Benoit I agree with wanting Nikolai to take the crown back after the law got repealed I thought it was going to happen. I do love the fact that Rhys got a family after being abused and alone that made my head warm. I just wasn’t sold enough to give it anything higher than 3 stars but I’m hoping the next book will be good or better! And okay perfect we can nominate it and go from there!
