I'm liking the connection building between Annabelle and Simon. He can be nice when he wants to, he just normally doesn't want to. And go figure Annabelle was bitten by a snake.

I'm so glad Simon finally got past that refusing to marry bit and he's going to marry Annabelle. But what is Westcliffe's problem? He's being so rude to Annabelle and I just don't understand why.

The foundry fire was unexpected but certainly added some dramatics to the end there. I like that Westcliff realized he was wrong about Annabelle. I really enjoyed her and Simon together.

Chapters 1-4
(view spoiler)[ I'm enjoying this set up and it's nice to be back with the Wallflowers. I chuckled when they compared Rafe and Hannah to Lillian and Westcliff and she didn't get it. Natalie's reaction to their kiss was unexpected. This is much more fun and I like how scandalized Hannah was to learn Natalie's been kissing around 😂 (hide spoiler)]

Chapters 5-8
(view spoiler)[ Hannah initially refusing to leave them alone was funny, but I get why Natalie was mad. I'm pretty sure Natalie is found to end up with Lord Travers. I wonder how far this will get, since Lisa Kleypas loves the drama probably a proposal until near death experience has Rafe declaring his love for Hannah. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ This was fine. I enjoyed seeing the Wallflowers again but the romance was very rushed. It had potential, but with all the cameos there wasn't space to develop the romance and those characters enough. I did enjoy Hannah, Natalie and Rafe, but I needed more to invest in them. (view spoiler)[ of course there was a fucking fire, I can't 😂. I will say I wasn't expecting the ridiculous disaster for me to complain about to be so early. I'm comforted by the time skip at the start of the next one because all this past stuff wasn't interesting me. (hide spoiler)]

Once I got into it I did enjoy it, it just took a bit.

Chapter Ten
(view spoiler)[ I like the addition of Livia and Gideon Shaw, these parallel second chances are interesting and I wasn't expecting it. The conflict between Aline and McKenna is a bit ridiculous because he will not care about her scars. I wish she'd just tell him, but I'm not holding my breath. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter Fifteen
(view spoiler)[ Livia is amazing, just striding in whilst he's naked and telling him to sober up, amazing. I love how Aline helped her go to see Shaw and have her fun. McKenna's reaction to Aline's virginity was weir. I get it doesn't mesh with the idea he had in his head but the anger is weird. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ This was fun, a very slow start but after the bit set in the past I was more invested. I liked that we had both romances as I would have been bored without it. I really enjoyed how bold Livia was and that Westcliff helped Aline get over herself and show McKenna. Again I thought that whole thing was silly but I was gratified by McKenna's reaction. I'm enjoying this one so far. I like Lillian and Westcliff better together than I did Anabelle and Simon. I love the way they challenge each other. The whole perfume thing is funny and I'm curious if he'll find out about it.

I'm still enjoying this one. I love the banter between Lillian and Westcliff. One thing I don't really get is that it almost seems like St. Vincent is trying to court her as well which seems odd since I know he ends up with Evie.

I still don't love that she's being courted by St. Vincent when it's clear she has feelings for Westcliff. Lillian getting drunk in the library and the whole pear in a bottle thing was hilarious. I agree with her though that Westcliff's proposal was more of a command and I get why she refused.

Wow, I think Marcus really was going to kill his mother if he didn't find out where she sent Lillian. What St. Vincent did is terrible and I can't imagine forgiving him for it in order to enjoy his romance with Evie. I'm happy with how things turned out with Lillian and Westcliff, they're great together.

This is good so far. I wasn't sure how I'd feel about Sebastian after what he did to Lillian in the last book. I'm liking him and Evie together though. It's interesting that so far he's the one more interested in her then the other way around.

I like how Sebastian is taking over running the club, it will be good for him to have something meaningful to do. I love the bargain Evie proposed and I can't wait to see how that plays out.

Sebastian is being so stubborn about trying to send Evie away. He likely just doesn't want to face the feelings he's developing for her. Bullard managing to get in and trying to shoot Evie was crazy. The way Sebastian jumped in front of her was definitely heroic. But he doesn't seem to be doing good now so hopefully things turn around for him soon.

I'm so glad they managed to make Sebastian better. It was nice that Westcliffe came and helped and that him and Sebastian made up. Bullard reappearing after they thought he was dead was very dramatic and I liked how that scene played out. Overall I really enjoyed this one despite how apprehensive I was after Sebastian's behavior in the last book.

I'm enjoying this so far. I don't like the ultimatum that Daisy's father has given her but I'm interested to see how thing go between her and Matthew and it's clear they're attracted to each other even if they don't want to be. Also, it sounds like Matthew may not be actually part of the family he says he is?

I love that Lillian named her daughter after the vet who helped her give birth. And Daisy's plan to make Matthew jealous is great, it was funny how it backfired though and Lord Llandrindon started to fall for her instead.

Ok so it definitely seems like Matthew is lying about who he is and his family origins. I wonder how that will go over when it comes out. I do like him and Daisy together though, he gets her in a way most people don't.

Well that was all much more dramatic than I was expecting it to be. I was right about Matthew hiding something but it was more than I thought it would be. I do like that they got everything resolved. Overall I enjoyed this one.

I'm enjoying this so far. It's fun getting to see the Wallflowers after they're all settled down and happy. I like Rafe's character so far, he's charming. Hannah is nice too although I wish she'd open up more.

Ok Natalie is kind of a brat and it wasn't nice the way she treated Hannah there. Rafe is being a bit demanding with Hannah which isn't great but hopefully he'll rectify that soon. Also, I wonder what's up with Westcliffe and this woman? I can't imagine Lillian is right and he wants someone else.

Damn, Rafe and Hannah are good together. Hopefully they get their act together and tell each other how the feel. And Rafe definitely has feelings for her as there's no way that burnt letter was for Natalie.

I'm so glad those two worked things out although that was a bit dramatic with the engagement announcement to someone else. I also liked the epilogue that talked about things to come for all the couples. Overall I enjoyed this one.
