SOLVED. medieval romance series with brothers? [s]

I am trying to remember the name of a series that was medieval in setting and had I think 3 brothers. There was a protagonist family with a son(Hugh?) and daughter(Jessica?). The protagonist tries to set the family up as being guilty of counterfeiting coin. The youngest of the brothers marries the daughter of the protagonist and takes her family name to show her he loves her. The series does continue with some of the children of the marriages.
