I have a question about banking books. If I understand this correctly, as we read books, we post them in the Team Tracking spreadsheet (up to 10). Then when we pass GO we move ("deposit") them on the Game Board spreadsheet and collect the salary that those books represent?As far as paying for a property purchase or paying rent, can we only use books from our banked book list or currently reading, not from our deposited books? Are those deposited books no longer available to us to use for tasks?
I hope this makes sense.

When you pass GO, you choose what 10 books from your Team SS banked books that you'd like to deposit as your salary. Once those books have been deposited on the Game Board SS, under the Banked Books tab, they are frozen and CANNOT be used again.
If you land on a space and want to purchase a property or need to pay rent, the book you use to do this should be added to the Game Board SS, under the Game Board Books tab. This book is now frozen and CANNOT be used again.
Any books that the team reads are free to be moved or used until deposited or used as payment. You can use the "posted" check mark on your tracking sheet to show that those books are now out of play.

I get it - we "bank" the books we read during the challenge and hope they fit a space we land on when we land there. Got it!Another question - books started after 1/1/23 or finished after 1/1/23??

It's mostly to give the first team a book or two to work with on the first roll!

Can we bank books indefinitely (if we haven't deposited them)?

Do we need a "shelf" for Bookopoly for ease of verification of books read for mods/captains/co-captains? I may have missed it some where in the rules lol

I get this error message:

Also, are the other teams waiting on us to complete our book before they can roll?

Hmm, try it again when you get a chance, I didn't set any protections and I just went and manually made that cell editable for everyone. If it still doesn't work let me know and I'll have to try something else.

I had the same message Shan. I kept going through. I think I hit the advanced button. Fingers crossed the dice roll site is safe.

As far as the dice roll, if you are uncomfortable or having any glitchy issues, you can always use a dice roll site to get your roll, just use 1 die (not 2).
Jackie, you can just manually deduct $10 from each account, and then deposit $30 in yours. Make sure it's posted on the turns that, so each team knows. No reading is required for that turn.
Posted is just to let everyone know that the book was moved to the gameboard SS and can't be moved, but you can use it or not use it. Your choice.
Ashley, I can't change the amount in Bank Acct. It's a protected cell.

@Ashley, I think I am confused. I thought we could use a book to buy the property or use cash in our bank account. Do we need to use both? I feel pretty good about the rules but I guess I am not clear on that point. Thanks!

For the task "Read a book with a child under 5 in it", does an alien child count?

If we land on Community Chest, do we have to do the task "read a book with a child under 5 in it" no matter what?Or only if the captain spins and lands on "You've had TWINS, pay $50 and "read a book with a child under 5 in it."?
Because I think this applies to Team Thimble's current turn.
