message 1: by Dawn, Desperately seeking new worlds (new)

Dawn (dawnv) | 4058 comments I cannot believe we do not have a thread for Ms. Ashley I just love her books.

In terms of PNR she writes the Shifter Unbound series as well as the Immortals.

In addition she writes as Allyson James.

I started this thread to let everyone know she is coming out with a new series called Riding Hard and the first one is on sale for 99 cents until April then the price will go up.

But now that I have started this thread does anyone read Shifters Unbound? I love that a new book is coming out and we just had a new novella. YAY

Darcy (sunnytat462) | 3123 comments I like her writing as both people. I know she does historicals, but they aren't my thing so I haven't read those.

message 3: by Michelle (new)

Michelle (quill_n_ink) | 29 comments I read one of her historical books and loved it. She's a great writer and the one I read had a twist I didn't see coming. I've not read any of her Pnr's but I have a feeling I should!

Michelle (quill_n_ink) | 29 comments The Madness of Lord Ian MacKenzie was really good. I should get back to that series soon.
The Madness of Lord Ian MacKenzie (MacKenzies & McBrides, #1) by Jennifer Ashley

ETA a link to the book...

message 5: by Lauren (new)

Lauren (laurenjberman) I've read her PNR and her historical novels and really enjoyed both. I'm reading the first in her Captain Lacey series (historical mysteries) now. Haven't read any of her Allyson James UF yet, but its on the TBR!

message 6: by Namita (new)

Namita (-namita) I love Jennifer Ashley and her Shifters Unbound series. Brilliantly written. I haven't read any of her work as Allyson James yet. Will have to give it a shot.

Michelle (quill_n_ink) | 29 comments And now after talking about it, and remembering how much I like JA's writing, I have to read Lady Isabella's Scandalous Marriage (MacKenzies & McBrides, #2) by Jennifer Ashley ! I bought it after reading Lord Ian and intended to read it right away but it's been on the TBR shelf, then the To Finish Later shelf. Time to dust it off and dive in.

message 8: by Dawn, Desperately seeking new worlds (new)

Dawn (dawnv) | 4058 comments I think I have read all of her books except the Immortals series and I just really enjoy them.

Her Regency Pirates series is rather under rated IMO

message 9: by Michelle (new)

Michelle (quill_n_ink) | 29 comments Pirates?!

Dawn (dawnv) | 4058 comments The Pirate Next Door (Regency Pirates, #1) by Jennifer Ashley The Pirate Hunter (Regency Pirates, #2) by Jennifer Ashley The Care & Feeding of Pirates (Regency Pirates, # 3) by Jennifer Ashley

These are not PNR but historical romance.

Did anyone read her dragon series when she is writing as Allyson James?

message 11: by Michelle (new)

Michelle (quill_n_ink) | 29 comments I love PNR but Regency Pirates sounds great! I'll be adding more books to my TBR shelf now...

I tried the first one, but it ended up on my dnf pile.

Good to know Dragons tend to be a hit or miss for me.

message 14: by Missyb (new)

Missyb | 52 comments I really like the Shifters Unbound series. Can't wait for Olaf to grow up and get his own book.

Her dragon series was good, but needs more books. It's not the best dragon series I've read, but I liked the characters enough to read the next book.
