OK, I have reached 24. I've been on a tear this month. Now we'll see how long it takes me to get to 36.
Nice. Apparently Goodreads thinks I haven't read much of the discussions. Even posts I made at the beginning of the year are showing up as "New"!
So, so helpful.

Thanks, Homey!
I picked up one book I had put aside, and quickly remembered why!
I made it up to 52 last Friday. I suppose that is most people's subconscious standard. No heavy lifting this year. Maybe next year I'll try some Russian literature!
52 is an excellent number - a book a week. When you say, “no heavy lifting” do you mean that you felt unchallenged this year?

Thanks, Nyssa!
I am up to 54 now; and going over the list, I see that only five might be considered challenging. My books were mostly popular detective stories and sports books. The challenging books were theological.

So my goal will again be to read 12 books, because that's all the publishing industry expects of me.
