Series of mystery novels I read in the last decade. I believe they were written by a woman.
Before the story begins, the female protagonist is kidnapped and gang-raped (possibly by a biker gang) in a cabin in the woods; chained to bed; and a word is carved into her abdomen. She is left for dead, but is found by hunters or hikers. She survives and begins working out nearly constantly and turns her body into a weapon. She may own or work at the gym, but I can’t remember for sure. She has nightmares and insomnia and runs during the night to wear herself out. One of the books she finds a body in the park, while she is running.

She begins to date a private eye or police officer who is her new neighbor. They eventually move in together. She helps him solve mysteries.

I got the series wrong. It may be "Lily Bard" series by Charlaine Harris. The titles have Shakespeare in them.
