Quill has been stuck, and Yinii captured! Wherever Amadea and Ibramo are headed, they missed their quarry. What will happen next?

Well then, that changeling. With Turon I thought the entire thing was setup by Redolfo, but it seems it was more of an improvised thing. (I wonder what his plan A was for running away)

That changeling is very angry at him, probably because of what he does with the Shrike. But that brings up more questions... Was the changeling here as part of an operation to find out who the shrike is? Is there a full undercover changeling operation from behind the wall?

I assumed the next scene would be them trying to take over the archives to try and get the blood there, but it seems they had their own production going full force.

I was wondering how the conversation went with his wife. "Hey my ex who kind of tried to topple the empire needs me, that cool?" With the empress having been poisoned it probably wouldn't go well either. (Don't know what they put in her mind, might have just been a quick lie because she was out of time).

But according to Redolfo he wouldn't even tell her. Which might actually be safer for all those involved.... Until she finds out it was all behind her back. Then again, who's to say if Ibramo is clear and free from tampering right now. (Or hell, a changeling himself at this moment?) He seems pretty unhappy with some more guards coming along (besides his personal feelings for Amadea)

Yinii taking a page out of Quill's book (...pun not intended, but now I see that link..Ink, quill(only took me 2/3 the book...)) by going towards something she probably shouldn't. See taking some people who can use bronze as power might be more useful (albeit less powerful than a sorcerer). But how will ink be helpful here?

Have to say this mission might not make her father more likely to have her stay. But then again unless she sequesters herself, she might generally be in more trouble than if she goes go.

Seems like the venom can be undone with some iron. Can be very dangerous for everyone if it comes undone at the wrong time. Unleashing a raging tiger in the middle of a buffet.

Speaking of which... I can't get a hold on the intelligence of the changelings yet. They seem complex enough to setup spy missions and assassination attempts. But thus far the non controlled ones we directly know have not shown a whole lot of it.

I think the "murderer!" comment as the Changeling tried to attack Redolfo is really interesting. I've been treating the changelings as basically demons bent on chaos, but this strongly implies they have their own sense of morality... at least as applied to their own species. I'm very interested in what the world is like beyond that wall now. Have they set up their own form of "government" now? How does all of that work?

Michael, good catch on the iron potentially reversing the Changeling-control cocktail. I didn't know what to make of that scene when the bodyguard scraped his elbow.

Have to say... Yinii and co. following Amadea seems like an impossibly bad idea on almost every level. Bijan is indeed a terrible temporary Amadea.
