Sammy (sammystarbuck) | 1019 comments Also Death's Rival (Jane Yellowrock, #5) by Faith Hunter , MC is a cat shifter. Can we use the "cat" in bearcat, or does using part of the name only apply to full words?

ETA: Just re-read the examples, and it would work for having those in the title. I have another book with cat in the tile :D Cat's Eye

I am amazed however at how often this is completely ignored.
I read a short story not too long ago (hence the appearance of this task on the mini) where a character was riding in padded armour for protection, and he did so for several days. How..?! No mention whatsoever.
Once he removed the armour, it was only said that it was sweat-soaked. Hmm..

That sounds very odd! I don't think I've come across Fae like that yet either. Vampires is one thing, but otherwise all fantasy creatures I've encountered seemed to have normal bodily functions, as far as I remember anyway. Strange indeed.

I had read them all, the last few as they came out. Then there was a delay before the last one came out. I got it in audio, and I has the hardest time getting in to. I only listened for about a half hour and then stopped. So now I'm re-reading, all audio this time, hoping that will get me in the right mood.

It was odd. And mentioned at least once in each book of the trilogy.

message 1072: by Eldarwen (new)

Eldarwen | 5004 comments Hmm, well hopefully this time it will be different for you! Maybe it's the narration? Sometimes that can make or break a book.

I remember listening into the audio out of curiosity for Tower of Dawn and it wasn't the best. Not bad but also not overly enticing to continue reading. (But then, we all know I'm very particular about my audios.)

I'll post a little something about Part Two in a couple of days.

It was best to concentrate on part one first - for the most part - so we could be sure to finish that part and get those bonus points. Anything else we finish, all the more points for us!

Soooo... if you have a competitive streak, now is the time to dig it out and get reading ;-)

But don't overexert yourselves, more team challenges are coming!! It is only the beginning of the year after all hehe.

Eldarwen | 5004 comments I can grab a book for the cocktail task and the Australia task:

Twist (Dive Bar 2) by Kylie Scott and Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty or Force of Nature by Jane Harper

Laura | 2892 comments E, if I have a cover that has 3 boys on it, no other people, does that work for 3 items?

ETA: The Raven Boys (The Raven Cycle, #1) by Maggie Stiefvater , so 3 boys. 3 pairs of pants, 3 uniform academy jackets?
