Grandma killers!!!

message 452: by Sonia (new)

Sonia (darktalynn) | 321 comments Or is it Killer Grandmas? I might be getting lost in translations... It's like a crossover between Golden Girls and Mr and Mrs Smith.

message 453: by Sonia (new)

Sonia (darktalynn) | 321 comments Plus... on the challenge point of view, this one works for Skip (Title) , 0 (stand alone), 2 (Mary Alice Tuttle), 3 (Helen), 6 and 9 (Natalie Schuyler) and 7 (Vance Gilchrist) and those were just a quick search

message 454: by Sammy (new)

Sammy (sammystarbuck) | 1019 comments Killer grandmas is less ambiguous, lol. Grandma killers leaves one to wonder whether the grandmas are doing the killing, or being killed.

Not a conversation I imagined having when I got up this morning... :D

message 455: by Sonia (new)

Sonia (darktalynn) | 321 comments yeah, it's the lost in translation effect. We use killers of grandmas when they are the ones being offed, and grandmas killers the other way around.

Although in this case, I believe either one works, because we get to see their journey as assassins, and then as targets for assassination, and consequent reaction, because retirement sounds better when you can actually live to enjoy it.

Kayt (kaytm) | 135 comments Holy Reverse Cards Batman!

Please slot me for one of those Emily Wilde's Encyclopaedia of Faeries I can't remember who read it here this month, but I know someone did.

I will review my other TBRs tonight and see where I can fill in. :)

I can take Blue 1 with Late Eclipses (October Daye, #4) by Seanan McGuire . I'm not too far in at the moment as I've been falling asleep earlier lately so will keep it for March. I still can fit another book for Februari though, let me check my tbr for the mini.

On your color possibilities, for anthologies we can only use the Editor, not each author. And this cover looks a little bit too orange to work for Red, to me.

On your blue, I'll let Eldarwen weigh in, but I don't think it's quite 50% blue. The mods and the other captains can be real sticklers about that! :)

For your 6 and your Reverse, when you finish them, post them with all possibilities they work for, and we'll slot them in where they are needed at the time. But we have so many reverses, I am making a list of who says they can read one!

How many of these do you really want to read? I put you down for Book Lovers (I'm going to read it this month, too!), but before I mark anything else I wanted to check with you.

I don't think The Night is Watching works for a red. And I don't think Semi-Psychic Life is green enough.

Hungry Like a Wolf is borderline on if it's blue enough. Some of the blue bleeds into black. But all the others look good to me.

Laura | 2892 comments I'm planning to read:

Book Lovers by Emily Henry - Blue 8, 9 (Draw 4) (Reverse)
Badger to the Bone (Honey Badger Chronicles, #3) by Shelly Laurenston - Red 3 (Draw 4)
Blood Bound (Mercy Thompson, #2) by Patricia Briggs (too orange?) - Red Skip, Red 3

Laura | 2892 comments This looks green to me, but TinEye is calling it blue! The Plight Before Christmas by Kate Stewart . But it's even marking the trees as blue, so I think the website is going a little crazy!

Anyway, works for a Skip or an 8, assuming it's green.

Eh... I don't see blue but I also don't see green. It's a bit of an odd one :-/ What colour is mint?? Probably more green? If mint is green, then it's enough of the colour to count.
