I can 100% relate. I tend to do "clean-outs" regularly on the digital To-Read shelf on Goodreads, because I'm the type of person that adds anything and everything to her TBR, based on the barest modicum of interest (which is why it's at +2k), and sometimes I'll look back and either not remember why I added it, or be like "what was I thinking".
But mostly it's because my tastes have changed through the years, which is fine - just gotta remember and update the lists to reflect who you are now, and what you're interested in reading :)
