Welcome to our latest read-a-thon everyone! Hope everyone's excited & ready to go. I know I am. I'll be starting with
as soon as I get back from a few errands. On another note, I've finally made the linked participants list & tweaked it just a little. To find yourself, simply click on the 'pages read' link instead of your name.
So i had thought just to read one book for this whole week long read a thon, which was
,but i couldn't sleep so i was up all night and most of this moring reading it and i finished it but i just didn't like it.so i've added another book to my list this one i know i'll love.hope everyone else has better luck with their first book than i did.
So I just finished reading Fairest of All (Whatever After #1) by Sarah Mlynowski and it was so fun! I know it's a children's book but it's really a must-try book! I enjoyed reading it and I finished it within a day. :)
Kayla all I can say to you is good luck :) I mean it in the best possible way. It's intense and slow going but it is very touching too :) I've just finished it this morning
I'm loving the one I'm reading right now which is
,this is a reread for me and its by one of my altime favourite authors Clive Cussler. He write this series and four others that I love but out of these six series I have to say this is my all time favourite one.I'm 248 pages in of 404 pages.

Well done Elizabeth, I've been reading short stories so nowhere near that amount least I don't think so lol
Nikki wrote: "Well done Elizabeth, I've been reading short stories so nowhere near that amount least I don't think so lol"Thinks, and there's nothing wrong with short stories,I love to read them.

That is always a good thing :)
Nikki!!!! Oh my oh my oh my!!!!! I just finished crying my eyes out!!! This happens all the time in his books and I still find myself reading them!! Lol!!!
Kayla wrote: "Nikki!!!! Oh my oh my oh my!!!!! I just finished crying my eyes out!!! This happens all the time in his books and I still find myself reading them!! Lol!!!"Have to admit it had me bawling too lol, will you be reading more of his books and what have you read so far of his?
I absolutely loved love the guardian!!! I've also read the notebook, safe haven, and I know there are more but I don't think of them! I do have more on my shelves like a bend in the road, true believer and the choice! Have you read many of his books?
Nope that's all I've read of his, although on the 14th this month I think there's a buddy read for The Longest Ride, so I might join in on that. What is your next planned book?
Good in bed my jennifer weiner! I have it in another group as a tbr read:) I have the longest ride on my list but I'm reading books I own this year! :) trying to cut back on the huge pile in my house!
What is your next read?
Well I have 3 on the go at the moment.Alex Flinn bewitching
The adventures of jillian spectre Nic Tatano
Vampire academy Richelle mead
I only have 2 on the go at the moment. 1 print & 1 audio. I don't like to have multiple books that I'm reading going at the same time, but if they're audio sometimes I will. I'll have one on cd in my car, and sometimes one on my phone.
I find having more than one on the go to be confusing but I now separate when I'm going to read them. Eg in the morning I read one, in the afternoon for an hour another then the evening for my biggest book usually
Nikki wrote: "I find having more than one on the go to be confusing but I now separate when I'm going to read them. I find that (generally) I go through print books so quickly that I don't really have the chance for that. Audio books are another matter altogether. When I 'read' Outlander it was 24discs & 36hrs. That took a while since I was only listening to it while driving.
Oh Christ yeah I bet. My partner enjoys the audiobooks as he finds them easier (he's dyslexic) but I much prefer reading books haven't even tried audio tbh but we have 3 kids and well getting a moments peace to read is a pain let alone listen with them lol. I'm mostly organised but when a migraine hits takes me out for a few days :(
I spend almost an hour and a half a day driving, after having gotten sick of our local radio stations I started checking out books on CD from the library, and I"m hooked
I don't blame you there lol, I think I'd end up doing the same. I walk everywhere though so it's a bit harder I guess but I should give it a shot sometime
That is exactly how I am with audio books I have two little ones and there is no way id be able to listen to them! I barely have time to read in general:)! Lol
One more day. I'm planning to binge read tomorrow. Get lots done. And then, Binge watch tv Sunday. lol.
Lol, know the feeling there Kayla. Think I'd be lost on them if I tried but maybe I could do it on a long school run walk only thing is I only have to do that one 3 times a week so would only get an hour and a half to listen and that's not much Audio really. Lol Jonel, my books are my TV! Lol I zone out from the TV but have to have it for background noise
Nikki wrote: "Lol, know the feeling there Kayla. Think I'd be lost on them if I tried but maybe I could do it on a long school run walk only thing is I only have to do that one 3 times a week so would only get a..."For me when I'm reading sometimes I have either the tv on or my iPod playing music.
