Jonel Welcome to our week long read-a-thon. This read-a-thon runs from March 8-15/15. That's right, at Hooked on Books we've decided that there aren't enough hours in a day, or days in a week, so our week long read-a-thons run for 8 days! Each participant reads from 12:01am on March 8/15 to 11:59pm on March/15 in their local time zone.

Please Note: We're doing things a little differently this time around. This post with be for both the reading lists & for chatting while the read-a-thon is going on!

To sign up simply start yourself a post to track what you've read during the read-a-thon. Edit your post throughout the read-a-thon to let everyone know which books you've read & your total number of pages.

I've linked everyone's names to their original posts for ease of access during the read-a-thon.

*Please do not delete a post once created. Doing so will disrupt the links in the 'participants' post. If you can no longer participate, that's no problem, feel free to edit your original post but please leave your post there.

Have to admit it had me bawling too lol, will you be reading more of his books and what have you read so far of his?

message 36: by Kayla (new)

Kayla (kaylaschwae) | 399 comments I absolutely loved love the guardian!!! I've also read the notebook, safe haven, and I know there are more but I don't think of them! I do have more on my shelves like a bend in the road, true believer and the choice!

Have you read many of his books?

message 37: by Nikki (new)

Nikki | 117 comments Nope that's all I've read of his, although on the 14th this month I think there's a buddy read for The Longest Ride, so I might join in on that.

What is your next planned book?

message 38: by Kayla (new)

Kayla (kaylaschwae) | 399 comments Good in bed my jennifer weiner! I have it in another group as a tbr read:)

I have the longest ride on my list but I'm reading books I own this year! :) trying to cut back on the huge pile in my house!

What is your next read?

message 39: by Nikki (new)

Nikki | 117 comments Well I have 3 on the go at the moment.
Alex Flinn bewitching
The adventures of jillian spectre Nic Tatano
Vampire academy Richelle mead

message 40: by Jonel (new)

Jonel I only have 2 on the go at the moment. 1 print & 1 audio. I don't like to have multiple books that I'm reading going at the same time, but if they're audio sometimes I will. I'll have one on cd in my car, and sometimes one on my phone.

message 41: by Nikki (new)

Nikki | 117 comments I find having more than one on the go to be confusing but I now separate when I'm going to read them. Eg in the morning I read one, in the afternoon for an hour another then the evening for my biggest book usually

Jonel Nikki wrote: "I find having more than one on the go to be confusing but I now separate when I'm going to read them. Eg in the morning I read one, in the afternoon for an hour another then the evening for my bigg..."

That's definitely one way to keep organized. I find that (generally) I go through print books so quickly that I don't really have the chance for that. Audio books are another matter altogether. When I 'read' Outlander it was 24discs & 36hrs. That took a while since I was only listening to it while driving.

message 43: by Nikki (new)

Nikki | 117 comments Oh Christ yeah I bet. My partner enjoys the audiobooks as he finds them easier (he's dyslexic) but I much prefer reading books haven't even tried audio tbh but we have 3 kids and well getting a moments peace to read is a pain let alone listen with them lol. I'm mostly organised but when a migraine hits takes me out for a few days :(

message 44: by Jonel (new)

Jonel I spend almost an hour and a half a day driving, after having gotten sick of our local radio stations I started checking out books on CD from the library, and I"m hooked

message 45: by Nikki (new)

Nikki | 117 comments I don't blame you there lol, I think I'd end up doing the same. I walk everywhere though so it's a bit harder I guess but I should give it a shot sometime

message 46: by Kayla (new)

Kayla (kaylaschwae) | 399 comments That is exactly how I am with audio books I have two little ones and there is no way id be able to listen to them! I barely have time to read in general:)! Lol

message 47: by Jonel (new)

Jonel One more day. I'm planning to binge read tomorrow. Get lots done. And then, Binge watch tv Sunday. lol.

message 48: by Nikki (new)

Nikki | 117 comments Lol, know the feeling there Kayla. Think I'd be lost on them if I tried but maybe I could do it on a long school run walk only thing is I only have to do that one 3 times a week so would only get an hour and a half to listen and that's not much Audio really.
Lol Jonel, my books are my TV! Lol I zone out from the TV but have to have it for background noise
