Hey Vee, I was just checking in. I noticed you're doing great with your reading goals, despite not updating it here :)
I hope you're having a fantastic 2023 so far, and that the second half of the year continues to bring great books into your path.
Happy reading :)
Hi Lisa, thank you! :-) I'm a little bit behind my goal as I was struggling to get through book 9 of The Wheel of Time, haha!
Hope you're having a great year too and have come across some 5 star reads already this year (I haven't :-()
Enjoy the rest of your week!
The Wheel of Time is SO much at the very top of my "want-to-read" list. It's just.... with so many books it's definitely an investment I'm not sure I'm able to make at the moment. But I really, really want to get to it soon! I haven't come across any 5 stars yet either, although there has been a few that are on the cusp, like "Kindred" and Recitatif.
But I'm certainly looking forward to finding more this year!
What will you be reading next?
Have a great Sunday!
I've been reading The Wheel of Time for a year and a half now so it's definitely a commitment! I wouldn't say it's my favourite series but it's still worth it and I'm hoping the Sanderson books will have a bit more umph :-) I'm reading quite a few different books at the moment, currently enjoying The Lions of Al-Rassan by Kay - it's basically a fantasy retelling of El Cid and the Reconquista. I didn't know much about that time period before and I've fallen down the rabbit hole now looking it all up :-)
Thanks for the books recs - I've enjoyed Recitatif but haven't read Kindred yet.
What are you reading nex Hopefully you'll find some more 5 star gems :-)
Have a great week!
