hmm. I read the first Jacky Faber book in 2013. Maybe I should get back to her. What did you think about the second one?
Cherie - I've been listening to the audiobooks and the narrator is amazing for the series (I'm on the third one now) - I highly recommend trying that route if you have them available through your library app. It's like a movie scene opens in my mind when I listen. In either case, a library option (audio or paper copy) would be a good test to see if they appeal to you again.
I need to get back to that series too. The next one for me to read is My Bonny Light Horseman: Being an Account of the Further Adventures of Jacky Faber, in Love and War (book 6)
I enjoyed the first book and I knew that Janice had been listening to them, but the wait time at my library was so long, I think that I gave up.
I checked out the Lacky Fabre series and saw that all of the 12 books are available to me through Libby. I may have to borrow the irate one soon.
Sorry, Sue, about the "odd" comment in message 8. I'm typing one handed and things got confused. I'll borrow the 1st in the Jacky Faber series and leave the "irate" one for somebody else.
