The Story of My Life Helen Keller’s triumph over her blindness and deafness has become one of the most inspiring stories of our time. Here, in a book first published when she was young woman, is Helen Keller’s own story—complex, poignant, and filled with love.

Helen’s own words reveal the heart of an exceptional woman, her struggles and joys, including that memorable moment when she finally understands that Anne’s finger-spelled letters w-a-t-e-r mean the fluid rushing over her hand.

This is so late getting this posted. I am sorry for the huge delay. Has anyone started reading this beautiful story?

Nidhi Kumari | 328 comments I finished it recently, it was very good read and I couldn’t stop. That makes two biographies by extraordinary women and about extraordinary women, I have read this year with this group, first being The Life of Charlotte Bronte.

My daughter also has a chapter on Helen Keller, I told her many things from the autobiography that were not covered in her chapter.

I am glad you got to share more information with your daughter about Helen. She was amazing!

Chad | 869 comments I'm really enjoying it too. Such a straight forward writing style. And she so well explains the process of her learning.
