Jana (romanoffsgate87) | 235 comments I always read over my yearly goal for the most part. My goal for 2022 was 52, so a book a week. As of right now I am at 72 books, and my final goal for the month of December is to just finish all my books on my currently reading shelf. So for the 2023 reading season I am going to set a goal of 100 and just see how close I can get. Some time toward the end of January or beginning of February I will have to go on medical leave from work for 6 to 8 weeks, I have to have my right ovary removed and we will not know if it is cancer till the path report comes back, so I will have lots of uninterrupted time to myself for reading. I look forward to seeing everyone's updates as the year goes along, and best of luck to you all in meeting your goals! Have a Happy New Year y'all!!!

Jana (romanoffsgate87) | 235 comments while I do not have a set number my base goal will be 76 minimum. my overall goal for the year is to clean out as much of my digital and physical bookshelves as I can manage. I plan to start with stand-alone books and work into books that are part of a series later. this is because I don't want to have to buy or rent books in the beginning that are not currently on my to-read shelf. that being said, I own many books that are not listed on my Goodreads to-read shelf, so I do not feel like pinpointing that digital shelf would be the way to go for the time being. maybe that will be a good goal for 2024... but we will see what the future has in store.

Jana (romanoffsgate87) | 235 comments I've started off strong on week 1 of 52 in 2023! I have finished two books on audible: Blink by KL Slater and The Call of the Wild by Jack London. I have also started The Snow Hare by Paula Lichtarowicz and Catechism of the Catholic Church. On a more personal note, I went to UAB this past Thursday to meet my doctor and the rest of my care time. So this new year is going to be about reading some amazing books and beating Ovarian cancer. Happy reading everyone!!!
