Not too bad this month--I managed to read 11, which puts me at 24 books total.

I... totally smashed March which left me with only 3 rollovers ;p
I can relax the rest of the year? lol

Oh, my. Another month where this game got lost in the woods. Really not doing well. I seem to be reading a lot, but nothing for this game!
March: 10 + 9 + 11 = 30. Read 1.
However, I did manage to read 1 more from Feb (although it didn't count since not a March book) and I am reading 3 others from previous months (which also won't count for this game).
Tien, you are an amazing woman. Congrats on the status!

Finished 7! Which is the "average" goal per month, so at least I'm not losing ground, too much! My rollover is 10 so April is 9 + 10 rollover = 19.
I am doing well in March actually read 12 lowering my rollover to 9 so now I have to read 18 in April.
Finished this month with 7 again. I guess that means I'm doing okay...My rollover is 12 so May is 8 + 12 rollover = 20.
Oy, I can't wait until the goal gets lower than 'average'!
March and April were pretty brutal reading months, but at least I'm caught back up to where I was in FEBRUARY.... and now if I can just stay abreast of THAT, I think I may make it to the year end with a zeroed out list. Rolled over 10 at the end of April, so I'm at 18 with an average of 12 books a month (of which some don't fit, but whatcha gonna do?)
I'm actually really loving this challenge, and I'm getting a ton of books pulled off of my old TBR shelves. Whoever thought it up is a genius!

It's Tien. She has the most amazing ability to come up with ideas for things like this.

Finished April with only 5. giving me a rollover of 13 added to May. At least I did really well in March and not too bad in May. This is a favorite challenge of mine as I have so much on my TBR that I have lots to choose from and does help me make choices for other challenges.
I think that I am going to have to put this game on hold for now. Although I have a lot of books (7) on my desk that apply to May's reading, it will be June before they are read. Out of 44 yet to read during May, that is only 16%.
And, 44 + June's 7 is 51. No longer do-able for me as I will be camping for 1 week in June.

By my calculations the total to read so far is only 50, so you shouldn't have 44 left unless you have read hardly any, which I know you haven't from your monthly updates.
I put proper effort into this one in May and read 12. I still need an average of 6 books per month going forward and don't want to leave it all until December like I did last year! Not much seems to get published in December so it's a tough one.

Meg, 50 is correct but so is my count. I have only read 6 in the actual months that they were due to have been read. All the others were read after the particular month had ended...and thus do not count. Nope...time to stop on this game.

Well, I backslid in June and only read 5... so my rollover is now 15 which makes my July total 21. Oh boy. Going the wrong direction!

Don't worry, LaurLa, the goal number will slowly decrease and you'll be fine by the end lol

That is the plan (and the hope!!)
My original comment has some kind of error that won't allow me to make updates, so I've created this one to cover the second half of the year. Original comment fixed. Updated in both comments that I'm DONE!

I had a really bad June and July especially July. I am going to be rolling over 18 books for August. I'd better get on the ball this month.
Read 8 this month which is 2 more than the monthly goal, so I made headway with the rollovers! Woohoo!August goal 5, Rollover 13 = Total August goal 18
Joyce wrote: "I had a really bad June and July especially July. I am going to be rolling over 18 books for August. I'd better get on the ball this month."You'll get there!!!
I read 7 in July. If I can keep up an average of at least 6 every month from now on, I will finish on track.
Uh, oh. Not a good a good month... I went backwards with only 4 read. September: goal 4 + 14 rollover = 18 total!EDIT: I didn't realize that the book I was finishing yesterday I had added in August. Yay, so I at least read the goal and maintained rollovers... so total is now 17!
I only read 3! My worst ever but I had a huge month in July so I've already made up for being behind :)
*pats past me on the back* lol

I love the way this challenge works where the numbers are getting smaller so as the end of the year gets closer it actually gets more manageable.I have 5 rollover this month, the lowest it's been.
Susan wrote: "Finished September with none left to carry over until October. Yay! This is the home stretch."Me, too! First time that's happened, but it should be easy enough to keep it that way through the end of the year!
Wow!! Well done, you two!
I still have a bit carry over even if I think I did well in September but it's ok, still plenty of time to go.

Well I maintained for September. Goal was 4 and I read 4. So rollovers stay the same (13). My total October goal will be 16.
I read 5... goal was 3... rollovers were 13. Now I am at 11 rollovers with a total goal for November of 11... If I can cut that in half before December, I will be happy!

Meg wrote: "I noticed last year that there seem to be less books published in December, so it's a good idea to get more done in Nov"Yep, and for some reason my tbr is heavy on books added in the earlier months of the year rather than the fall - although there is a fair number of December adds, so hopefully that will make up a difference!
