XDDD I liked the ship in the books better. In the movie it seemed somewhat forced.

Alexandria K (percabethprincess8729) | 20 comments I'm going to be honest, I didn't really like either romance in TMR. I liked Teresa more than Brenda, but I didn't really like the way either was written, and in my opinion, James Dashner does not know how to write female characters.

Never heard anyone say Teresa was better than Brenda before. Interesting opinion.

Alexandria K (percabethprincess8729) | 20 comments Well, by comparison. To me, Brenda felt like an afterthought. LIke James Dashner had the idea for what would happen at the end of Teresa's arc but somewhere in his mind thought that Thomas still had to 'get the girl', so he created Brenda. All in all though, I don't think Brenda nor Teresa had much personality, but I think Teresa was slightly more fleshed out. If I HAVE to pick a love interest, I'd pick Teresa even though she betrayed Thomas (she later kind of made up for it). But, overall, I think I'd have preferred if Thomas hadn't ended up with a girl at the end at all. But that's just me. I found Brenda to be kind of flat and one-dimensional. And Teresa was on some aspect too. But Brenda's interest in Thomas seemed kind of insta-lovey to me.

Yeah, I suppose I can kind of agree with all that.

He definitely does not know how to write female characters, I agree, but Teresa is a straight up LIAR. That's why I'm settling with Thomas X Brenda!!!

Rouh || رُوح | 122 comments Guys, Brenda was like a sister to him wasn't she!!
I mean in the movie she was like an elder sister he can rely on, get help.
Teresa was good but not for him; the only problem that she wasn't thinking in a way that they would understand,SHE WAS THINKING OF THE GREATER GOOD WITH THE WRONG PEOPLE, BAD ONES.

That's true, but many times when Thomas would explain to her that she was in the wrong, she would simply reject him and do her own thing. This was very irritating and didn't do much to improve my image of Teresa.

Yes!They have a great difference in their thoughts and minds although personality, no idea how would they ever go with each other. But was a very sad ending that she didn't made it to stay alive.:l

Because we are on a public platform, and I don't want to come off as rude or as "that one person", I will very respectfully disagree with your opinions of Teresa and drink some oat milk. ☠️ It's great to hear different thoughts though! 🤣

🤣🤣🤣you disagree with that it's a SAD ENDING or that they are NOT MADE TO BE WITH EACH OTHER.

message 31: by aron! (new)

aron! | 32 comments SORRY, but nooooooooooooo. I feel like Teresa was the one getting crushed (hehe, sorry not really funny) even after Thomas was all fake-betrayed and stuff. He didn’t even think twice about her after she was crushed by a giant rock. He just immediately ran off with Brenda.
