Thanks Sue. Bookouture are so good as always. I was on twitter earlier when they announced it was up so I requested and got approved within half an hour.

Hope you get approved too(I'm sure you will). I'd say there's big demand for this one.

Chris, are you talking about this Harlan Coben book ? Don't Let Go by Harlan Coben It was a download (Read Now) book on Edelweiss for awhile. Not sure if it still is but you should check it out. I was able to download it from there. It's been pending for months on Netgalley.

Monnie | 154 comments Just got Robert Brindza's Cold Blood and Surrogate nby Louise Jensen. Totally psyched (and determined not to request another bleepin' book till I finished what's in my NG to-read pile)!

message 3568: by Christine (new)

Christine (clt04) | 4838 comments Are these the only books in your NG pile, Monnie?

message 3569: by Monnie (new)

Monnie | 154 comments Christine wrote: "Are these the only books in your NG pile, Monnie?"

I wish! There are 12 in the mix now, including these two. I try to read them in order of release date, but sometimes it's hard to resist the ones I know will be good, like the Bryndza and a Harlan Coben. They'll probably get moved up a notch or two.

message 3570: by Christine (new)

Christine (clt04) | 4838 comments 12 isn't too bad, Monnie. You can do it!

Monnie | 154 comments Christine wrote: "12 isn't too bad, Monnie. You can do it!"

LOL! Just got another one I'd requested probably a month ago and totally forgotten about (sigh). Oh well - should finish the one I'm reading now sometime tomorrow. Gotta remember anybody can eat an elephant as long as it's one bite at a time!

So, none of them are true to life, Maureen? That's kind of disappointing.

message 3575: by Chris (new)

Chris | 267 comments Finally got approved for Enigma (FBI Thriller, #21) by Catherine Coulter and couple of cozies Wagging Through the Snow by Laurien Berenson and Twelve Slays of Christmas (A Christmas Tree Farm Mystery #1) by Jacqueline Frost which is my light reading lol. I really got annoyed so I just requested a bunch of books and surprise surprise I got approved.

message 3576: by Monnie (new)

Monnie | 154 comments The one I just had approved today is Enigma by Catherine Coulter. Looking forward to it, except now I have 3 books waiting that have a Sept. 12 release date. Thank goodness the fall TV season doesn't start in earnest before then - all I have to contend with is football (Go Bucks)!

I know, right. But amazingly enough, they sell a bunch of them in the gift shop. Also, they are pretty generous to fiction authors who want to know some actual facts. I know Catherine Coulter got some pretty good access in the early days of the Sherlock and Savich books, and of course Patricia Cornwell until that went south. Obviously so did Thomas Harris.

Well, they did kinda wait last minute for Enigma. Most of the books I have come with at least a two or three month lead time.

I broke down and requested Cold Blood Cold Blood (Detective Erika Foster, #5) by Robert Bryndza by Robert Bryndza Time will tell if I get approved, writing my reviews I've gotten my percentage from 12% up to 72%. 11 left to review and 1 pending. Its doable, just hope I can get approved for the Robert Bryndza book.

I have been reasonably good about not requesting books in an effort to catch up, but after reading all your posts, have just requested 4 new ones. *groan*😦*smile 😆😆😆😆😆😆

Wow Christine - that would make me feel very insecure lol!
Good on you Lynn. I have managed to ease mine up to 53%.
