Trying to finish Blood Lines by Angela Marsons.

Unable to read much at the moment, working 14-16 hour days, and same the weekends.

Yes so far it is good.
Not to be stalking you or anything Sean but I loved that book too. You have some great ones lined up.
I wouldn't let it get you down, Adrian. Sometimes it's about numbers. Everyone gets turned down occasionally. I hardly go on NetGalley now. I've got more than enough to keep me going! It's got to be something I really want.
Thanks Janet. I usually have no more than 2-3 on my shelf at any one time. I should really stack some. I still have loads of books on my kindle unread that I've purchased or have been free but I've been reading mostly NetGalley titles the last few months.
Yay back on the horse!Approved for
Bookouture are by far my favourite publisher. Always so accomodating.

You go, buddy!!!
Turned down for The Dry by Jane Harper. Getting more refusals than ever now, which is a bit disheartening.
That's about 5 refusals and 22 approvals for me. 3 refusals in the last 6 or 7 requests has made me more cautious.
Would that be an abnormally high percentage of refusals?
Adrian, I don't request that much, but got one day requested 3 books and was refused for all three! I wouldn't be converned. Also some publishers always refuse me. You might check that out.
Thanks Christine. Two of the five refusals are from the same publisher so I'll be wary of them in the future. I'm just having a moan really. I have dozens of titles on my kindle to read as it is, purchased from Amazon so I amnt short of reading material.
Approved for
Requested a few minutes after my moaning post about refusals so a nice quick approval. That will teach me.
Had to wait quite a while for this approval, but it's proving to be worth the wait: The Trapped Girl
. Love Dugoni and love this series!

Netgalley has been really quiet for me since the beginning of Dec. God help me if even half my requests come through!
Approved for
Blink by K.L. Slater"Enjoyed the previous novel Safe With Me so looking forward to reading this.
I was approved for Heartbreak Hotel
and Everything You Want Me to Be
for a few weeks ago. I am new to NetGalley and I am putting those on my to read list for the upcoming week.

I really, really liked Everything You Want Me To Be, Jaime! I rated it five star but not for it being powerful or anything. Just a good, fun, and well written suspense option. Fun because it's a "gooder" and I didn't want to put it down.
5 stars from me too for Everything You Want Me to Be. Jean and I met the author, Mindy Mejia, at a small gathering at a local library a week ago. We listened to her talk and got to ask her several questions. So nice. We bought a hardback version of the book and she signed it for us as well. Just love meeting authors. Wish more came our way.
