Mated to an alpha, 'human' is running away from abusive husband, live with a grumpy old man that turns and trains her

A girl (20's) runs away from her husband. Shes sleeping in her car when a man knocks on her window and asks what shes doing, he notices bruises on her face but ends up leaving her alone. The husband ends up finding her and beats her. The older man from earlier finds her and takes her in to live in his cabin which is secluded away from everyone else. Hes abit of your standard grumpy old man. He makes her do household chores like chopping wood etc. He eventually bites her and turns her into a werewolf with the air of an alpha. He ends up training her and there was a chapter where she was training down at some river and using logs or something as part of her training session. The older man is a hard az. The rest of the story line gets a little hazy but its not common for a human to survive the bite. She ends up being mated to his 'nephew'? Thats an alpha. Towards the end you find out her parents were wolves and died and were from the same area as the older man and mate. A spell was placed on her so noone would recognise her scent if she was to see anyone after growing up with humans. This is also the reason she survived the bite. From memory either she or the husband may have been a lawyer?
