wth is six of crows about (i asked you guys what i should read this week six of crown won but i was wondering what is it about i never heard a review of it and i just want to know ) *no spoilers pls*

It's a fantasy book in the grishaverse. These people in a gang get offered money to break a scientist out of prison in another country because he invented this drug that makes Grisha like really powerful. (Grisha are basically people with powers).

It's a really good book in my opinion and you should definitely try it even though I explained it horribly

Basically it's a prison break

I've seen it advertised as a combination of Game of Thrones (gritty fantasy) and Ocean's Eleven (Heist).

The plot follows a group of six criminals who are tasked with planning and carrying out an "impossible" prison break.

I loved it and would heartily recommend it.

“Six dangerous outcasts. One impossible heist.”

Criminal prodigy Kaz Brekker is offered a chance at a deadly heist: break into the Ice Court (which has never been breached) and steal a hostage who has secrets that could change Grisha magic forever. But he can’t pull it off alone, and so we get our amazing morally gray found family. I would give my life for every single one of them.

Why you should read it -

- No chosen ones. No-ones trying to save the world. It’s literally just stealing stuff for money.
- It’s very character driven
- There are hot morally gray teenagers
- There’s a super cool (if a little complicated) heist
- The fantasy worldbuilding is such a slay
- Theres found family <3
- Some of the best representation and diversity I’ve seen in YA (lgbtq+ (gay, bi, pan, asexual, etc.), physical disabilities, ptsd, black & brown characters, asian characters, people w/ adhd & dyslexia, different body sizes, the list goes on and on)
- Enemies to lovers, complete with yearning, betrayal, all that juicy stuff
- CHAOTIC GAYS
- Moments where you just have to close the book and stare at a wall in complete and utter shock
- Tragic backstories that are slowly revealed
- Twists
- The Shadow and Bone Netflix adaption has the characters from Six of Crows in it, too (I would thoroughly recommend watching it)
- And there’s heaps more if you like it! Crooked Kingdom is the sequel, but there are several other books set in the same world (the Shadow and Bone trilogy, the King of Scars duology, the Demon in The Wood graphic novel, and a couple of short story collections)

Six of Crows is my favourite book, ever, so I hope you enjoy it!
