Zoey I've seen many mixed opinions on this, so I'm curious!

Sumayya both are horrible and disgusting

Ruby Gloom At the start of this book I was dead set against Amy and I did have some sympathy towards Nick, but as the story progressed I started to dislike him more and more, but I still think Amy is the worst out of the two.

Arpita Mandlik I had a little bit sympathy for amy in the beginning obviously because of the diary amy. I Never liked nick but I think amy's a psychotic manipulative bitch and even nick shouldn't have to go through the shit because of her.

Amy is so fucking scary. The way from the beginning to the end you don't know who she is really. I think both are completly delusional about their relationship.

Ayman Singh I loved how the book went to and fro with narrations of the two characters and also in time. The way their relationship's past was unfolded...great writing.

Victoria Sto I love how Amy was presented. It's important to say that I don't love who she was, obviously. She had some good qualities but overall I liked nick more than I liked her. Perhaps it was due to Nick being the victim and expressing a bit more empathy towards others. Also he wasn't a cold-blooded killer. Therefore, as a character I liked him more. However, Amy's character was beautifully captured in this disturbing way. That's what I admire about her, the writing style and process of her becoming more unhinged.

Jojo Amy is such an amazingly written female villain - callous, calculating, logical. Flynn did an incredible job at alternating between both sides; seeing Nick as a lying, cheating, complete cad of a husband and simultaneously naive victim caught up in Amy's web. The same for Amy; one moment a sweet but possessive wife mysteriously disappeared, the next a cold and manipulative murderer. I can't help but admire her incredible determination and unhinged revenge plot for its genius, even if I'm also absolutely terrified of her...

Cilla Moyeda Some of my favorite characters are the ones I hate throughout the whole book. Amy was definitely that for me.

Elina Nick was definitely a horrible husband which we can all agree with but Amy was also immature as fuck. She was okay with Nick dying just because she wanted to get revenge or some shit?? She also killed a random ass dude just because she needed to keep her plan going?? I feel like Amy was overall worse than nick tbh...

Atreyii Mohan Both are equally dislikeable and good in there own ways. Nick's decision to start loving her again only because she a baby, does not make sense to me, hence I didnt like the ending. Amy is a psychopath, hence her behaviour can be explained by that

Ava Castellanos I hate this book with a burning passion. I'm a big reader and Ive never hated a book. I've had some that I didn't care for or that I just didn't like but I hate this book so muchhhh. I hate how it ends. it was so predictable. I hate Amy and her background and her entire personality and way of being. I didn't love Nick but I hated him less.
I hated the ending.

natalie amy dunne is fucking terrifying. she's the mean girl who picks on your clothes at school, who laughs when you're presenting your project to the whole class, the girl who doesn't invite you to her birthday party. this was one of the first books i picked up. i had watched the film prior to reading the book, so it honestly intrigued me cause i love murder mystery stuff, but holy shit this bitch took it way too far. she's terrifying, but god i kind of admire her in a way? i mean, the commitment?? when i want to do something, i usually only fantasize it, but never really go all the way. amy is a fucking genius. thats all ive got to say. and nick? an asshole. a lazy asshole. i don't think he ever really wanted to be married, maybe just did it for the convenient sex he may have lacked. but thats just me, i hate nick. he was only trying to be someone that cunt might like.

Ros C. Both characters are repellent in their own ways. Nike is a coward, engaging in an affair with a student and concealing it out of fear that it will cost him The Bar. He shows zero respect for Amy or her time, and his inability to stand on his own merits is truly frustrating. As for Amy, while undeniably unhinged, her monologue about the ‘Cool Girl’ was both insightful and powerful.
