Oh nice. I've had this book on my tbr for a year. Just don't know when I'll get to it.

As an autistic disabled queer woman, the themes in this book really resonated with me. But I think everyone could benefit from reading it, to gain perspective and information on a powerful movement.
Couldn't recommend it more!
The other books from the author are already on my TBR.

If you like near future speculative fiction Radicalized..."
My husband has been recommending that to me for ages, so maybe now is the time!

Attack of the Black Rectangles by Amy Sarig King about book banning.
Lupe Wong Won't Dance by Donna Barba Higuera about square dancing.

Also, here's a list of books on Activism & Organizing, for early childhood through adult readers:

Seems like a good fit to me!

I would love to read something about community building as well, so I might look into books on that topic. Some of my maybes are:
Mutual Aid: Building Solidarity in This Crisis
Tactical Urbanism: Short-term Action for Long-term Change

I still plan on reading this one this year, especially since it fits another challenge I'm working towards (and also I just really want to and already have a copy?), but for this task I read Wage Slaves by Daria Bogdanska. It's a graphic memoir where she describes her work environment as an immigrant in Sweden and how she worked with a union to fight back against workplace abuses.

The Jump by Brittney Morris YA fic
The Librarian of Burned Books by Brianna Labuskes fic
When Books Went to War: The Stories that Helped Us Win World War II by Molly Guptill Manning non fic
Read Dangerously: The Subversive Power of Literature in Troubled Times by Azar Nafisi non fic

Birnam Wood sounds more fitting since the MC is an activist. It sounds really interesting to me.
