It really is! It's hard to put this one down. I got to the beginning of chapter LVI (56) last night. I am trying to catch up to you Latasha and find out who the Jigsaw man is.

The plot and secrecy of who the Nazis are in this book has been excellent!

I’ve made it to ch53 now. I agree with everything you had in your spoilers Ginger, especially with (view spoiler)[ Sam. Really curious about where this goes with her.

And I was pretty shocked when Rachel ended up spending the night with Charlie! I want things to work out so much for him, but I’m worried it never will.

I’m also very suspicious about Isha Winter! I think she was covering for Baulman. Are they blackmailing her maybe? Threatening to kill the granddaughter (and that’s why Steiger had to leave her alive)? Very curious! (hide spoiler)]

I’m sure you’re right about the hints, Latasha. I’ll get to ch54 shortly, but I think so.

For some reason, I’m really enjoying the comedy relief bantering with all of the characters this time around. I know we always have that in these books, but it just seems perfect this go around.

Me too! I feel like the relief bantering is keeping some lightness in the story/plot theme because it's so damn dark and grim. Thank goodness he has this in here!

I laughed out loud at several parts in this one. The jokes were great.

I love that (view spoiler)[Sam is a chip off the ole block and her future is very much in question. As a reader, you have no idea what she is or what her talents are!

So far we know she can see ghosts like her Dad but she can also influence the environment to cause a sand dune to collapse, save her Dad, and kill the man that was trying to kill him. Poor Rachel, she's got two people in her life that's going to give her grey hair. LOL

I'm so excited to continue this series and I love that Parker is forcing Ross's hand to work for him and start taking out people on the list.

I really loved that Jennifer influenced Isha Winter aka Magda Provst to walk to the beach so that the Jews that she killed would inflict vengeance and take her out. Just brilliant! (hide spoiler)]

Dang, I love this series you two. I'm so glad we started reading it years ago and there is not a book that I have not loved or loved more after reading the last one. It's just so good. :D

I'm reading book #20 The Furies and loving it. A new Charlie Parker book is like putting on a comfy pair of slippers and a wrapping yourself up in a warm sweater while you visit (slightly scary and strange) old friends.

I love Charlie Parker! I'm only up to book 7 or so, but each year I buy my father the UK edition of the latest one (they come out months earlier), so he's all caught up.

It's a comfy pair of slippers you're wearing while you settle in for an absolute dark and horror jacked up plot. LOL!
