I always wanted to read something from Woolf as well, and suddenly I’ve been on a roll with her. I first read her nonfiction book/speech A Room of One’s Own a couple of months ago. In the time since, I’ve just finished Mrs Dalloway, which I loved, and now I’ve started this. There are strong similarities between the two novels, and I’m interested to see how this one develops.
im joining in! ive actually been wanting to read this book everytime it stares at me in barnes n noble
I am going to give this a go. This will also be my first time reading Woolfe. I recently heard an episode of the What Should I Read Next podcast and the reader being interviewed said it was her all time favorite book. So being that it is the pick for January I thought I’d try it.
I will be joining in! I've been wanting to start reading classics again and To The Lighthouse feels like the perfect length to begin again with!

I will be joining also. I loved "Flush" and I think I read "Mrs. Dalloway" and some others (maybe even "To the Lighthouse"), but I really don't remember....I'm really looking forward to it!
Really looking forward to reading To The Lighthouse. I've been intending to read more of Woolf's work for years having only read A Room of One's Own.
This is the only book for January I havent already read, so I will try to join. I have way too many books I want to read, and I mean I want to read them all immediately for some reason. 🤣
I am also joining - very much looking forward to the book! (Also my first book by Virginia Woolf)(Added bonus for me: because of the pandemic I had to cancel my trip to Scotland two years ago- so now I'll get to let her take me to the Isle of Skye - till I have time to go myself )
I'm reading this too. Starting this today. The book has been sitting on my shelf for a couple of years now. I tried to start yesterday but got distracted by her essay "How should one read a book?"

Isle of Skye is beautiful, I hope you get to go soon, Lina.
So many people I follow on YouTube recommended this book, and I often really like books that don't have a lot of plot so that's not an issue for me. But I put this down after a few chapters and cannot motivate myself to pick it back up at all. I've reserved an audio copy through the library and will see if I can get back into it once it comes
