Magical YA. Girl goes to a Magical school and has many elemental powers while everyone else only has one. Main Villain is named Brad. Spoilers.

So in this book this girl is at an academy for people with powers (elemental and more). I don't remember how she came to know about it but she is not super familiar with this world. It has the classic mean girl who doesn't like that a nobody is being treated so nicely. There she meets this guy who becomes her best friend and they later start dating. But the biggest thing I remember about this book is that the main bad guy through this is name Brad and he's not too good at being evil.

Also this is at least two books. In the second book they go to this magical council after making a sort of alliance with Brad. I read this years ago so it's kinda old.

Thank you for the suggestion. I thought Touch of Frost might be it but the biggest thing is that one of the characters, the villain, is named Brad.
