Trying to find a YA series. I don't really remember anything about the plot, but will list what I can remember.

Troubled protagonist befriends a troubled horse who gets named Tapestry. It is the fourth book in a series. The book is purple.

That's really all I can remember about this book, so it may be unsolvable.
