I love Blake Crouch's novels, and this one was as action packed as his previous novels.

The story takes place sometime in the near future. Genetic engineering has reached a point where wild modifications are possible - to plants, animals and even people. Things got to the point where most genetic engineering is outlawed and a special law enforcement unit has been created to track down and stop rogue geneticists.

In the course of his duties, one of the field agents - Logan Ramsay - has been attacked. At first it appears to be just a physical attack, but then major genetic changes begin to manifest themselves.

In classic Blake Crouch style, this is a true "man against the world" story. Logan is on his own to decipher what happened to him, who did it, and how to stop it from happening to other targets. With some really good twists and turns along the way.
