For sure! And We have Always Lived in the Castle is my favorite. I loved Merricat so much (main character) I used a form of her name for my goodreads name!

LTJ (ltj81) | 2006 comments @Lauren: That's so awesome to hear! I just hit 80% and am loving it so far, it's creepy, weird, and pure terror. LoL everything I look for in a horror novel, I plan to finish it tonight :-D

Andrew “The Weirdling” Glos | 86 comments @Lauren - I’m in the end game now. It really is intense. More than I expected. Can’t wait to see how this ends.

LTJ (ltj81) | 2006 comments @Andrew: Same here! 83% and can't put it down at all...

Nichole Perani | 5 comments I finished it, and I thought it was ok. The ghosts were interesting, but it was just boring to me. I didn’t understand the pull he had on her, because he just seemed like a jerk.

LTJ (ltj81) | 2006 comments I just finished it and thought it was brilliant! It wasn't a perfect book for me but the scary and creepy moments were all very well done.

I gave it a 4/5 as my review is below :-)

Andrew “The Weirdling” Glos | 86 comments The whole last quarter of this book is so icky. It’s giving me such a bad case of the squirms.

hah! I am not a fan of squirms! I hope this is a good kind of squirm! 😁

Me too!

debbicat *made of stardust* (cr8zycat) | 64 comments ok, lots of squirms early on...when they are tripping on acid. Back later! I am making progress today!

OMG! It has just gotten crazy! I don't think I could stomach this in movie. All the puking!

debbicat *made of stardust* (cr8zycat) | 64 comments Laura wrote: "I’m almost halfway done and I’m very intrigued so far!! (And a bit confused, but that’s okay). This is the first book of this author that I’m reading and I really enjoy the writing style, I find it..."

Same! Not familiar with this author but I also like the writing style. Very good flow and easy to get lost in. I just got to 52% rather quickly. It's pretty gross right now! I can't wait to find out where this is going.

I just purchased this after seeing all of the amazing conversation. Very late to the party, but at least I'll be reading!

It really was, right? That ending blew me away!

Marinka So I wanted to ask about the ending… I don’t want to spoil anything for those who did not read it, but do you think it has a double meaning? Which way is Erin going to go?
What do you think?!

message 80: by Char (new) - rated it 5 stars

Char | 17486 comments I think that (view spoiler)

I just finished. Like right now. I don't really understand the ending.

debbicat *made of stardust* (cr8zycat) | 64 comments And did yall notice some the books the author listed at the end that were used to do some of the research? Some very good authors listed there.

The author didn’t give us a definitive answer, so it could go either way.
Open for interpretation perhaps?!
