I use a kindle so it just automatically bookmarks my page BUT, for physical books I use an old scooby doo bookmark i got in elementary school. I also have a bookmark that lets you use it to focus on the sentences if you want to read but have blah attention span. hell, i used a candy wrapper a few times.

for xmas someone bought me a bookmark of clawed hands so when i close the book it looks like someone is trying to get out
