I use Pokémon cards and match the Pokémon color to the book
I bought a bookmark whilst on vacation in Italy that says "dinosaurs didn't read, now they are extinct. coincidence?"
I have a bunch of 50 cent bookmarks from old school book fairs and last year my parents got me magnetic page clip things for Christmas but even with all that I usually just rip a peice off the paper closest to me and just use that. And to anyone who folds pages, this to heart, it will ruin your pages, that is bad for the books, it is damaging and it will ruin you babies. I used to do that before I learned that it does that, so sTOp. You are permanently damaging them. No book deserves that. I don’t care the story they are too precious.

recently I've been using a sticker that I haven't peeled the backing off of yet so that it won't ruin the book
i get cute ones from small businesses! barnes and noble has free ones at the register that i use too :)

I got a huge rubber bands that I use. I think I might order some nice ones because the bands can rip the paper if I'm not careful.
I usually use my tab annotations which I use to tab that particular book

Any random prices of paper or bookmarks that I buy with 3d designs or bookmarks I get for free at The library. Sometimes I use leaves or anything else that is flat like paper.

every book i read, i try to find the most random book marks. For example, I’ve used a yeti sticker, a receipt from barnes and noble, an old fishing license, a 20% off coupon from chewy… it adds character 😂
my friend crocheted a heart and a cherry on paper clips for me, so i use either one if theyre close and if they aren’t i just use anything i find
I either use a normal bookmark, but if I don't have that I'll use a random piece of paper
