Ugh...no wonder you weren't able to find it...I changed Harvest to Hearts in my request post!!! Sorry 😐!

Finished and giving it a 3.5. First half... quite interesting. Second half...zzzzzz. Debbie B and a few others have pointed that out.

*** TMI/spoiler alert****

And it's a 2hr drive from Stockbridge to Boston, not the 4hrs in the book(unless The Turnpike is covered w frosting from Stockbridge to Boston! -James Taylor) Grrrr! Why did the author put me thru that agony w the leads taking multiple trips???? :)

message 57: by Joan (new)

Joan | 13 comments Sam, I have only read two of the books on your list! I loved "Like Father, Like Son." so it 's my pick for you. I hope that you enjoy it!

Sam H. | 828 comments Great! Thanks Joan, I just wasn't sure which one was showing as the choice.

It's been on my list for a while and I am looking forward to finally diving in.

Joan | 13 comments Sam, so glad that you approved of my choice! Please let me know how you like it!

abmom | 152 comments Michelle, I really enjoyed Nine Ladies: A Pride and Prejudice Variation https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5... . Great writing. Some books leave you with such a satisfying happiness, this is one of them. Thank you for your choice.

Craftyhj | 441 comments I have finished my chosen book, The Rogue's Widow by Nicole Clarkston/Alix James.

The title is one of those "come and read me" ones and on the whole I very much enjoyed it. There were a few odd choices of words but it is definitely worth reading so thanks for the choice. I might see if I can squeeze a few my other options in before the new of the month.

Finished my book! Emily Kate, that was so sweet and I can see why it makes Michelle H's holiday re-read pile. Not much Austenesque (as the blurb implies) as simply a cute Regency, but I can see how the author was influenced by Austen and Heyer. Thank you!

message 68: by [deleted user] (new)

Thanks Sophia! Happy to hear it was lotsa fun! :)
Nothing beats a regency romance!
Wishing you happy reading :)

I really enjoyed that book too, Craftyhj. There were some spots in the book I wondered where Darcy was coming from but all is explained.

Now that you're done with your chosen book, I just HAVE to weigh in here and comment that I really hope you get a chance to read Crossed In Love very soon. I loved that one!

No rules against this is there Sophia?

Joan, Thanks for the pick!
It was so different from what I expected and I enjoyed the storyline very much.
Not so enamored with the writing tho.

Thank you Craftyhj for picking Austenland for me... that was an absolute fantastic romantic ride and perfect timing as it arrived the day before Valentine's Day and I consumed it all in one sitting, cherishing all the romance.. a perfect book.

Hope you're having a beautiful reading month too!
Happy reading!! :)

Thank you, Christina! I really enjoyed Mr Darcy's New Neighbour: A Pride and Prejudice Variation. It had a fun new character and the Darcy in it (after his bad first proposal) reminded me of my husband. I'd recommend it for anyone.
