Newbie from Texas

Hi, I'm Ashley, and I'm an 18 year old student from Texas. I started reading around 3, and have loved reading ever since. (My mom has a video of me reading out loud around that age! XD) I read a lot of historical and fantasy fiction, but am starting to read a little romance (I am attempting to deviate to other genres.. starting to get into horror, too.)

I heard about goodreads.com through my English teacher, and have fell in love with it ever since. I recently decided to join a few book clubs on here just to discover more books, but I only participate in the forums in this particular group.

~waves~ Hey there, "neighbor" Ashley. Welcome to the group. Start small with Stephen King (like reading The Green Mile), or stick to his "classics" like Carrie, else you could quickly get overwhelmed. ;)

@ Jennifer: So far I have read "Desperation" and "Christine", and both were awesome. Unfortunately, neither "Carrie" nor "The Green Mile" are ever in our school library. I'm too scared to read "It", since I have a fear of clowns xD

The next time I go into a book store, I'll be sure to look for a copy of those two :)

Ashley, "It" was a creepy book! And it sure is a doozey! I used to love King.. he was my first real adult author when I was a kid, and I devoured his stuff!
