This is not reporting, but just a heads up for those who planned their books ahead as I did. I just finished my second book, and when I went to check the "popular shelves" list on the book's page to see how the next shelf was spelled, the order of the shelves has changed, and the next shelf is down is now a different one.

My report:
Beginning shelf: paranormal
Current shelf: juvenile
Shelves completed: 6

I look at those threads regularly to see what others are reading, with the goal of finding books new-to-me, but I realized it would be helpful if there was a rating to go along with the title. So I went back to my list and put a rating next to each book. If anyone else thinks of it at posting time - stars or a statement would be helpful, especially since I've read a couple of stinkers lately. I'd rather trust fellow readers than the jacket blurb!

Beginning Shelf: Paranormal
Current Shelf: Chick Lit
Shelves Completed: 4
I also went back and pasted my reviews on my OSD thread for the books I've read so far.

From the Pick-a-Shelf home page, click the "new" link to the right of where it says "discussion board." Type a name for your topic, use the drop-down menu to select the "One Shelf Down" folder, put your information in the "comment" box, then click on the "post" button.
Or you can click on the "One Shelf Down" folder from the Pick-a-Shelf home page and then click on "new topic" to open a topic form that already has the folder selected. Either way works.
Hope that helps! Let me know if you have further questions.

Beginning shelf: paranormal
Current shelf: fiction

Also, for those who report in this thread, I've started a list in message 1 to help everyone keep track of current progress.

Beginning shelf: Paranormal
Current shelf (7): Horror Currently reading!
Shelves completed: 6
I finally got off the Vampires shelf! Ugh, Horror!

Beginning shelf: Asian - A Thousand Splendid Suns
2nd shelf: To-read - Dear Fatty
3rd shelf: Currently-reading - Living Dead in Dallas
4th shelf: Vampires - Vampire Lestat
Shelves completed: 3
I guess I should be posting separately instead of just updating my post, so here it is:
As of: December 1
Beginning shelf: paranormal
Current shelf: Historical Fiction (#6)
Number of shelves completed: 5
Shelf 7: fiction
As of: December 1
Beginning shelf: paranormal
Current shelf: Historical Fiction (#6)
Number of shelves completed: 5
Shelf 7: fiction

That's okay. I should just do a new post each time anyway, otherwise it gets too confusing when the number of messages in the thread get long. So, no worries, my bad!

Beginning shelf: Paranormal
Current shelf:Historical Fiction
number of shelves completed 9
