I don't think I'll get the current one done this year, so this is my ending total - I've only read one book in the past 10 days; much too busy enjoying Christmas & other activities with kids & grandkids!
Wow BJ, only one book in the last 10 days? That is something for you! I'm glad you are having fun with the family.
My last post (#56) will be my final one, too.

Yes! Karen is our challenge master, although she hasn't been online much lately. She does have a new challenge in the works to start Jan. 15. We'll post the details soon.
My final report! I completed 13 shelves: paranormal > to-read > fantasy > young-adult > ya > historical-fiction > juvenile > currently-reading > fiction > favorites > teen > 2009 > science-fiction
Kudos to everyone, especially those who were able to read 20 shelves or more:
Natasha, BJ Rose, Amy, and Sarah. Good job all.

Happy New Year, everyone! Looking forward to more challenges in 2010.
I got tired of it too. I realized that reading was becoming a chore...there were just too many books to read and most of them I didn't enjoy the subject matter. And the ones I did like, I felt like I couldn't spend enough time on, because I had to hurry and go on to the next book.
My thing with the Seasonal Challenge is that I don't ever plan to finish. In fact, I enjoy picking out the books I am going to read more than actually doing the challenge. Then I just go on with my reading as normal, and end up getting some pathetic point count like 75 or something. It is the search for the books that fit that attracts me. I am such a lightweight, lol.
As for this challenge, I found it too easy, so lost interest in a way. There was no way to end, so it was more just like "read as many books as you can in the time period"

I agree with you Lyn about the seasonal challenge too...the best part is the hunt! I can definitely read more now, but part of that is this group for me too. I am just all over the place with the genres and loving doing both. I hope the next challenge here is one I want to do ;-)
