Kathy I have started the first book in this trilogy, The Blade Itself, on my husband's recommendation. This is epic fantasy. So far, it is pretty good. I even got up in the middle of the night to read a chapter. I like it because most of the characters are more anti-hero than hero and I never know quite who I should be cheering for! It is very Game-of-Thrones-ish.

Kathy Finished The Blade Itself late last night. The entire first book is a set up for the actual adventure which doesn't really start until the very end of the book. Still, it was a page turner and I am on to book two.

Kathy Well, I just finished The First Law trilogy. The Blade Itself, Before They Are Hanged and The Last Argument of Kings. It was a long action-packed ride. I completely recommend this series. I am not a huge fan of fantasy, but this was so enjoyable! It is character driven with lots of twists and turns. It is also quite dark and bloody. Very entertaining!
