I read this in 2019 while I was in sixth grade and I've been thinking about it for so long. I don't remember the name of the characters, name of the book or name of author. But I do remember the plot mostly.

It starts with the main character (mc) waking up and fighting with her sister. mc has camp today so she had to wake up early. She ends up waking up late and has to rush to school so she doesn't miss the camp bus. When she arrives just in time, all her friends are sitting in the back with no more seats for he to sit in. She's forced to sit next to the weird quiet girl (wg). wg starts talking about her grandpas chickens, and mc is forced to listen.

they arrive at camp and mc goes with her friends but the cabins containing her friends are full and she just so happens to have to share a cabin with wg. During the camp, there's a talent show and her friends leave her out because her name doesn't start with the letter "K". After the talent show, her friends peer pressure mc to steal wg's underwear.

All I remember is mc drops her friends, then wg finds out mc stole her underwear after going to mc's house. And at the end wg forgives mc and they become besties

I checked every book on the list you mentioned, but it is not on there. Also, just wanna say that she doesn't go to summer camp. It's a school camp that lasts for 3 days. Also it is neither a romance.

How Not To Be Popular by Cecily Anne Paterson. Pretty positive this is your book. First chapter starts with her getting on the bus and having to sit next to the girl talking about her grandpa's chickens.
