I wanted to finish last night, but I actually had more to go than I thought lolI have around 60-70 pages left, chapter 57
I have a little more than a hundred pages left. I’m fixing to take a test and then I will start so I can finish!!!!
Is it a test for school, Courtney?Let me just say regarding 2 of the major things that happen around the chapter 50 mark I think, one I didn't expect, one I half expected. Trying to keep it vague lol
I should finish today! And yes still school testing! It’s the end of semester this month so we are trying to get everything all caught up since we’ve had 2 hurricanes in Florida this semester etc.
Right, I got it...2 hurricanes? That's crazy...hopefully they didn't cause a lot of harm. We had an earthquake the other night, a stong one...it was scary.
Wow! I was reading up on something in New Zeland and it said that you guys get earthquakes a lot right? Unfortunately we did get a good amount of damage. It was the beginning of October and beginning of November BUT we didn’t get nearly as much as it could have been. Fort Meyers literally was destroyed… very sad! Def been a busy Autumn down here!!
To be fair, since we've been in NZ we did feel a few earthquakes, but very light. This one was a 5.6 and it woke us up for sure, a few bits fell of the shelves, but no serious damage. It did give us quite a good scare. That is sad...sorry to hear that. To be honest, I try to stay as much away from the news as I can otherwise I will probably just get depressed.
Oh wow, Corina that definitely sounds scary! it must've been difficult to get back to sleep! Omg Courtney, that's horrible!! :'(( Did you have to evacuate at all?
I know what you mean Corina, same here. Earthquakes seem to me like they would be a lot scarier because you don’t know when there coming so the element of surprise def has to add to that fear factor!!! And Bella no, my area didn’t need to evacuate because I’m more in,and but 20 miles east of me did and the southern half of Florida def needed to make a decision to stay or leave. We got lucky but it was still bad!
Indeed, there is no warning with earthquakes. Didn't get much sleep that night because of the after shocks. Only in the first hour or so after the big one, we had about 20 or so light ones. At least the little man slept.That sounds bad, Courtney...at least you guys were safe, but can't imagine the feeling of leaving your home behind...
Yeah it was so bad everyone down there lost everything and the second one finished off in Daytona what the first one knocked loose up here..

I was so surprised!!! I can't believe he killed Ahmed!! I'm so upset :'(( I know he was just a secondary character and probably was only there so the author could kill someone but damn... I really liked him!! and the fact he died to protect Mazens brother!!

I really enjoyed this one as well :) To be honest, I didn't expect Ahmed to be killed and I felt sorry for Loulie. Glad Qadir and Aisha came back lolDefinitely excited for the second one.

neither did I! I was really happy they both came back, but I can't believe Aisha betrayed them. I have a feeling there's more we don't know and she's not ACTUALLY on his side
I can start Elektra right away! I haven't gotten Demon Copperhead yet, but if that's on our list, I can buy it!
Well she did help them in the end :)I can start Elektra this weekend if that works for everyone. Its all good with Demon Copperhead, we can choose another one instead after Elektra.

I got my copy of Elektra too!I picked up Book Lovers from the goodreads winners list as my next read.
Also, I did read "Carrie Soto is back", and I personally loved it but lot if people aren't that happy that it won.
I thought a lot of the top picks were interesting!! I also added a bunch to my TBR :) especially in the fantasy section
I think we need to wait at least 1 year for the second book for this one.I read a few from the main categories like Fiction, Mystery, Historical Fiction, Fantasy and Romance and I do have a few others on my TBR. With the exception of Carrie Soto that I didn't read and I knew it would win, I read the other winners. Only one I'm happy that it won and I did vote for was Book Lovers. The other ones I personally didn't love.
Oh, and I also voted for I'm glad my mum died which I knew would win. And I did read or have a few books from Debut Novel on my TBR as well.
Do we want to start Elektra in a couple of days or straight away?
