Ella | 4 comments So many french canadian novels have the "France" tag. Doesn't mean that they are written in french that they're from France. Is there a way to fix this? It is annoying and is kind of disrespectful in my opinion.
Thanks!

Some examples (way too many to link everything):
Là où je me terre
Mille secrets mille dangers
Match
La bête à sa mère

Tags and genres are crowd-sourced. If someone has shelved a book on a shelf they named "France," that is why it appears. To some people it may not mean the book takes place in France, and others may just be mistaken.
There is nothing anyone can do about it.

Ella | 4 comments I see, that is disappointing. It is like shelving American books as British. They might both be English authors, but they do not share the same culture. I don't mean by the actual setting of the book, but the author's origins. Is it not possible to correct the tags?
Thank you for your response anyhow.

Ella | 4 comments For knowledge's sake, is that a minimum number of shelves for a tag to show up on the book page? For example, I look through this book's top shelves and I see "québécois" as the top one and no "France". Yet "France" appears as a tag and not "québécois".
Ce qu'on respire sur Tatouine

Is it possible that Quebec and France are merged together? As in, when I look through the genre "Québécois" and I click on a book, it does not have a "Québécois" tag, but a "France" tag.

Thanks!
