I saw this book in the library and thought I added it to my collection on Goodreads but I was mistaken. Now that I'm going back to look for the book I can't find it. I know that the author's last name is in the second half of the alphabet (quite possibly T-Z). The book involved Lucy and James and was centered almost exclusively around their text message conversations, with a few voicemails thrown in for good measure. Lucy lies to James about her last name because she doesn't want to be known for being the sister of a missing child. Apparently her sister (whose name escapes me) was kidnapped and it was national news when it happened.
The book ends with James and Lucy finally meeting for the first time at Lucy's house.
