Ok so i remember there is a girl who is a robot because it says in the past they went from planet to plantet by airship and you can upload your memories to a robot but a girl and her mother were going to see their dad but there ship blows up and now the dad is stuck with the robot daughter.
But the above is just something it mentions in the book.

kids live on a floating island
