it was their book I read in elementary school (guided reading, public school in nyc). it was about this girl named poppy; the cover had a blonde girl blowing pink bubble gum, it was a big bubble. she was basically stuck in the foster system and currently in a new foster hime. she was a trouble maker. at the end she meets her mother who was very evil. and she calls her foster mom in the airport but the foster mom tells her there is nothing she can do.
