Heather I read thie book years ago and i swear it was called The 14th Floor. From what i can remember it's about an apartment building that keep having weird things happen. They search the building and find it has an old bank vault in the basement. There's also a part where they get sucked into some alternative dimension where something is trying to kill them. I am pretty sure the cover of the book was dark green and black. It was such an awesome book and i can't find any books called 14th floor so I'm at a standstill. Any help would be appreciated

Rose Paris | 174 comments Could it be 1408 by Stephen King? A shirt story about a haunted hotel where weird things happen to guests and a guest nearly gets sucked into an evil dimension, but no bank vault.

PaulGamerBoy360 When did you read the book?

Heather, your title must contain genre and plot details! Please add them now.

We close threads whose titles don't contain them.

Yep, either you can edit to move it into the Solved folder, or a Moderator can for you.

So which book was it exactly? :) You said SuperTuxKart360's "15th Floor" by Wayne Pierce, but then you said it was just called '14'.

14 by Peter Clines:
"There are some odd things about Nate's new apartment. Of course, he has other things on his mind. He hates his job. He has no money in the bank. No girlfriend. No plans for the future. So while his new home isn't perfect, it's livable. The rent is low, the property managers are friendly, and the odd little mysteries don't nag at him too much. At least, not until he meets Mandy, his neighbor across the hall, and notices something unusual about her apartment. And Xela's apartment. And Tim's. And Veek's. Because every room in this old Los Angeles brownstone has a mystery or two. Mysteries that stretch back over a hundred years. Some of them are in plain sight. Some are behind locked doors. And all together these mysteries could mean the end of Nate and his friends ... or the end of everything"

(Not to be confused with 14 by J. T. Ellison about a serial killer in Tennessee)
